‘Digital Sale’: Dubai unveils remote real estate registration at GITEX Global 2025
New service enables 24/7 property sales and registration via Dubai Now app
DUBAI – The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has launched the first phase of its innovative ‘Digital Sale’ service through the Dubai Now app, unveiled during GITEX Global 2025.
This marks a significant advancement in Dubai’s ongoing digital transformation, reflecting the emirate’s commitment to the goals outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033.
The new service redefines how real estate transactions are conducted, establishing new standards for speed, reliability, and efficiency in property dealings.
Fully digital transactions
Through the ‘Digital Sale’ service, customers can now complete all registration and sale procedures entirely online using the Dubai Now app. By integrating electronic signatures via the UAE Pass, the system allows transactions to be completed seamlessly at any time, from anywhere. This aligns with the Government of Dubai’s vision of providing unified and proactive digital services across all sectors.
The service simplifies real estate processes for individuals by combining speed with the highest standards of security and transparency. It also enhances Dubai’s global investment appeal, reinforcing its position as a hub for innovation-driven, sustainable development and intelligent government services.
Seamless end-to-end process
The new platform provides a completely remote, end-to-end experience. The process begins when the seller generates an electronic sale contract and sends it to the buyer for review and signature. Once the buyer transfers the payment to the service’s dedicated account, the ownership certificate is instantly issued in the buyer’s name within the application. This digital flow eliminates the need for in-person visits, offering a fast and secure transaction experience backed by verified digital identities.
Amid the strong performance of Dubai’s real estate sector in recent years, the Digital Sale service is expected to sustain growth momentum by moving closer to a 100% digital property ecosystem. It supports the emirate’s ambition to build an innovation-led economy that attracts global real estate investment through transparent and reliable digital systems.
Key requirements
To use the Digital Sale service, both buyer and seller must possess valid Emirates IDs and active UAE Pass accounts capable of verified digital signatures.
The property must be within Dubai’s freehold areas and categorised as a residential unit, commercial unit, or townhouse. Additionally, it must be mortgage-free, held by a single owner, and linked to a UAE-based bank account.
The Dubai Now app, which serves as a unified digital platform for more than 350 services from 50 government and private entities, is available for download on the App Store and Google Play.

Alongside the Digital Sale service, DLD is also showcasing its Real Estate Instant Registration Platform at GITEX Global 2025. The advanced dashboard provides real-time data on property transactions across Dubai’s districts, further promoting transparency in the real estate market.
